The Red Jacket Trail runs along the riverfront from the depot in downtown Mankato to the village of Rapidan. It passes over three railroad trestles, including the historic Red Jacket Trestle, 80 feet high and 550 feet long, over the Le Sueur River. From Rapidan, cyclists can follow a paved shoulder on County Road 9 to a park with a hydroelectric dam. The trail connects to the South Route Trail, as well as to the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail via the North Minnesota River Trail.
