Mendota Trail

The Mendota Trail is a wide, mellow ride on the south side of the Minnesota River. There are no technical features, such as rock gardens or log piles. It is also flat. The major challenge to the trail is the loose sand you may find from time to time, and which may prompt you to turn around. This is a multi-use trail, so expect to see the occasional hiker, and respond accordingly.

We might divide the trail into two parts. The eastern part is between Mendota and the 494 bridge; the western part is between the 494 bridge and the Cedar Avenue bridge. The eastern part is about 4.3 miles long; the western part is about 3 miles long...
